Lucia Riccelli & Nicoletta Stea create art installations featuring a painting video projection with live dance performance, live music compositions and improvisations.
In their works they explore and attempt to redefine the images of exposed people who are removed from all their roles and social contexts. Various layers of interaction - painting, music and video - capture the encrypted moods and the passage of time, as well as the shifting perspectives of visual representation.
How can one allow the viewer to experience the dynamics that pass through the body of the exposed person wandering to different places of their imagination? How can uncomfortable feelings manifest themselves? And how can the exposed person take up the challenge to 'present oneself' or to 'exhibit oneself' without having to prove or show anything specific?
Deprived of protective space and identity, the expression of personality and emotions will be increasingly visible. Consequently, a subtle and direct universal language develops, with which the body communicates its mood, attached to a place, where the body feels accepted or repelled.
Going with the 'flow' is a state that we all know: we are so fascinated by what we are doing that we forget time and are alive and charged with energy in the present. We are neither over nor under challenged but do what we have to do with a special kind of energy flow. This change in the world of senses, however, always remains a subjective experience …
